My Dear Parishioners,

Ash Wednesday is the 25th of Feb. and once more we begin Lent. We will have 6 Masses on Ash Wednesday.

7am English, 8:30 Spanish

12noon English, 4:00pm Spanish

5:30pm English and 7:30pm Spanish

We will offer Blessed ashes at each Mass to help us “Remember that you are dust and unto dust you shall return”. Please try to come to a full Mass on Ash Wed. The readings are beautiful – a call to repentance – reconciliation and hope.

Mardi gras – Fat Tuesday is Feb. 24 and we willl have confession and a Penance Service with 12 priests. Confessions will be available in English and in Spanish. Please try to come to a bilingual Mass at 6pm – Adoration and a Penance Service at 6:30pm and confessions at 7:00pm. This is a great way to begin Lent in the state of Grace by making a good confession. Please bring all the family. Invite your friends – offer them a ride – be an ambassador for Christ and let him speak through you.

Lent is a time to renew your prayer life, come to Mass every Sunday or even during the week. We have Mass every day – Mon. at 6:30pm English, Tuesday at 12 noon English and 6:30pm in Spanish. Wednesday at 8am, 12 noon and 6:30pm all in English. For Lent the Stations of the Cross will follow the 6:30pm Mass in English – Thursday at 8am & noon in English and at 6:30pm in Spanish and Friday at 8am and noon in English and in Spanish at 6:30pm followed by the Stations of the Cross in Spanish.

Try if you can to pray the Rosary daily at home during Lent. Bring the family together because the “family that prays together stays together”. Try to join a Bible study group during Lent – listen to the Word of God and it will show you the way, the truth and the life.

During Lent fast & pray. Remember no meat on Ash Wed. and Good Friday and on all the Fridays of Lent. Pray for sinners. Offer your sacrifices for them. Invite them to come to Church or confession with you. We have confession every Sat. from 4 – 5:30pm and during the Stations on Wednesday and Fridays as well as at 8:00am on Sundays and now at 10:00am for the Sundays of Lent.

Have a wonderful Lent. Lets try to raise our weekend Mass attendance to 3500!! We are at 3000 now.

Mis Queridos Parroquianos,

El 25 de febrero es el Miércoles de Ceniza y otra vez estamos comenzando cuaresma. Tendremos seis Misas por el Miércoles de Ceniza.

A las 7am en Inglés, 8:30am en Español,

12 mediodia en Inglés, 4:00pm en Español,

5:30pm en Inglés y a los 7:30pm en Español.

Tendremos Ceniza bendita en todos las Misas para “Acuerdate de que eres polvo y al polvo volverás.” Favór de venir a la Misa Miércoles de Ceniza. Las lecturas son muy bonitas y nos llamen a la pentencia, reconciliación y a la esperanza.

Mardi gras-“Martes gordo” es el 24 de Febrero y tendremos Servicio Penitencial y confesiones con 12 sacerdotes – en Español y en Inglés. Habrá Misa bilingüe a las 6:00pm – con Adoracion a las 6:30pm y confesiones a las 7:00pm. Este es el camino real para correr durante Cuaresma – una Buena confesion-oracion diaria con la familia y Misa y communion cada domingo. Favór de traer toda la familia. Inviten a sus amistades y cotrabajadores, y sean embajadores para Cristo y le pemite hablar por medio de ustedes.

Cuaresma es tiempo para renovar su vida espiritual veniendo a la Misa cada domingo y durante la semana. Habrá cambios en las Misas diarias para Cuaresma: Lunes a las 6:30pm en Ingles, Martes 12 mediodia en Ingles y 6:30pm en Español, Miércoles 8am, mediodia y 6:30pm todos en Ingles con Via Crucis en Ingles despues de la Misa de 6:30pm; jueves a las 8:00am y mediodia en Ingles y a las 6:30pm en Español; Viernes a las 8am y mediodia en Inglés y a las 6:30pm en Español con Via Crucis en Español.

Favór de rezar el rosario cada dia durante cuaresma con sus familias porque “Las familias que recen júntos, quedan júntos.” Cuaresma es buen tiempo para formar grupo de estudio de la Biblia. Escuchen la palabara de Dios y Dios va a mostrarles el camino, la verdad y la vida.

Durante Cuaresma ayunen y oren. Tenemos que no comer carne el Miercoles de Ceniza y el Viernes Santo y en los Viernes de Cuaresma. Oren para los pecadores. Les inviten venir a la Misa o a la confesion contigo. Tenemos confesiones cada Sabado a las 4 pm hasta 5:30 y durante la Via Crucis el Miercoles y el Viernes y cada domingo a las 8:00am y para Cuaresma a las 10am.

Tengan una cuaresma maravillosa. Tratemos de tener 3500 en las Misas cada fin de semana-tenemos 3000 ahorita.

P.S. Saterdote Sanador. El Padre Glenn Fontana un Sanador famoso celebrará la Misa a las 5:30pm el 21 de Marzo 2009 y tendrá servicio de sanacion después de la Misa. Todos estan invitados.
