Altar Society
The members of the Santa Cruz Altar Society are the “Mary’s” and “Martha’s” of our parish, working behind the scenes to fulfill their mission:
- To preserve and maintain the altar and sanctuary of Santa Cruz Church in accordance with the teachings and doctrine of the Catholic Church;
- To foster love for the House of God, and to labor for its proper adornment and cleanliness;
- To participate as an organization in special events, fund raising activities, and as needed, to support Santa Cruz Church’s mission to the community, as approved by the Altar Society membership.
Aside from the meticulous care of the church and altar linens, the Altar Society has made significant financial contributions to the Parish. Thanks to their fundraising efforts with frequent bake sales, cook book sales, and others, the group’s financial stewardship has purchased new drapes for the cry room and contributed to the purchase of new altar server robes, as well as various items in our chapel.
