Altar Servers

ALTAR SERVERS AT SANTA CRUZ

Young men and women who have received their First Holy Communion and have completed the third grade are eligible to serve at the altar.  They are encouraged to serve through their senior year in high school.

The server’s parents must be registered in the parish and the server must be faithfully attending Religious Education classes.
It is the responsibility of the parents to see that the server arrives at least 20 minutes before their scheduled Mass.  If any server is unable to serve at their scheduled Mass, it is their responsibility to find a substitute.

At least one parent must be in the sacristy to help the servers vest and to help maintain the vestments in an orderly fashion.

Jóvenes (hombres y mujeres) que han hecho su Primera Comunión y han terminado el tercer grado son elegibles para servir en el altar como Monaguillos(as).  Se les anima a servir hasta su último año de secundaria.

Los Padres del Monaguillo(a) deben estar registrados en la parroquia y el Monaguillo(a) debe atender fielmente las clases de Educación Religiosa.

Es la responsabilidad de los Padres, de asegurarse que el Monaguillo(a), llegue por lo menos 20 minutos antes de que empiece la Misa en la cual van a servir.  Si por alguna razón, algún Monaguillo(a), no puede servir en su Misa programada, es su responsabilidad encontrar a un substituto(a).
Por lo menos uno de los Padres debe estar presente en la sacristía para ayudar a los Monaguillos(as) prepararse y para ayudar a mantener las vestiduras en una manera ordenada.
