The mission of the Santa Cruz Building Committee is to provide parish long range strategic planning, acquire needed parish real estate property, plan and oversee all new parish construction and remodeling projects, and perform other duties as assigned by the pastor.
This mission will be carried out by building committee members appointed by and working under the direction of the pastor by soliciting and utilizing parish input, working with outside consultants as needed, following diocesan building procedures and policies, and reporting progress to the parish on a timely basis. |

Building Committee formed by Fr. Teall with members Paul Curtin, Chairman, Jim Kelly, and Alex Verver. |
Mar 9, 1988 |
Santa Cruz made a parish by the Bishop John McCarthy, Diocese of Austin. |
Sep 15, 1994 |
Future church site of 10 acres purchased on N. Loop 4 for $150,000. |
Mar 4, 1998 |
Approval given by Bishop McCarthy to proceed with plans to build a new church. |

Building Committee meeting with Spencer Godfrey Architects to start planning of new church. |

Three year Church Building Fund Pledge Drive with pledges totaling $294,345. |
